ACADEMIC LEARNING PATH
In my academic learning path, as Bandura refers to self-efficacy, I need to be aware of the path I am taking in. This path has to do with the ways I challenge myself to pursuit new intended goals, the efforts I need to expend in those goals and value the possible outcomes as a way of growing myself as a professional in my area of expertise. From this, it is possible to say that autonomy plays a very important role in this process; as defined by Holec (as cited in Benson, P 2006 p. 22) who argues that autonomy has a especial concern as an attribute to the learner. With this in mind, I can mention that according to him I need to make emphasis on planning my actions through an action plan with purposes and expected outcomes, select materials I consider appropriate to be used, monitor my learning progress through a follow up plan, and assess myself in this process by paying close attention to the process and the goals set at the beginning.
